Tuesday meeting this week with the county.
I am holding my breath until Tuesday night at 7 pm in Afton. I know that to some this issue is really a non-issue. I mean, in terms of what the county NEEDS? I can see that there is an eventual need for a new jail. Are we going about it the right way though? Think about it. In YOUR house, have you not learned from the most recent financial crisis that borrowing money or that putting off the day of reckoning is irresponsible? Are we supposed to just pretend that everything is ok because the federal government has thrown trillions at THE BANKS to keep them afloat, but what about WE THE PEOPLE? I did not get anything other than a notice from these banks that my bill is overdue. The bottom line is this... WE THE PEOPLE are fed up. We are fed up with corruption, we are fed up with lies, and we are fed up with being pushed around by our elected officials after they get into office. They are not elected as monarchs. They are elected as servants. Thomas Jefferson said, "When the people fear the government, there is Tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty." I think that the time has come that we let them know that we have had it, and that we are not going to take it anymore. Please join US on Tuesday night in Afton at the civic center. Bring signs, fliers, and whatever else you may need to wake more citizens up.

I think (hope)if we're doing things right we don't need to be the protesters. why should we allow ourselves to be confused with the opposition. our freedoms are thankfully already here. we should celebrate that. we need to be organized enough, and on good terms with our communities. it is by having access to true information that stirs the conscience, not the propaganda posters. we need to concentrate on spreading the truth.
